Directions
From the M50 (via Monmouth)
If travelling via the M50, continue onto the A40 and follow it to Monmouth.
Avoid leaving the A40 at Goodrich or Symonds Yat, particularly if driving a larger vehicle, as the roads are narrow and winding.
From Monmouth, take the A4136 towards Staunton and Coleford. Continue through Staunton until you reach a right turn towards Coleford on the B4228. Follow this road for approximately half a mile until you reach a crossroads.
Turn right into Scowles Road, and you willll spot the white bungalow on your right.
From the M4 / M5 (via Chepstow)
Cross the Severn via the M48 and follow the A48 towards Lydney.
In Lydney, join the B4231 and continue until you reach the junction with the B4228. Turn right and follow the road through Coleford.
After passing through Coleford and two sets of traffic lights, continue until you reach the crossroads at Crossways.
Turn left into Scowles Road.
You’ll spot the white bungalow on your right.
Arriving by bus
The nearest bus stop is Crossways, Greenmoors, just a short walk
from the studio.

If you’re local to the Forest of Dean, you’ll already know that bus services can be fairly infrequent, particularly outside peak times. We strongly recommend checking current timetables before travelling and allowing plenty of time for your journey.
Arriving by train
The nearest railway station is Lydney, approximately 7.5 miles (12 km) away.
Direct services connect Lydney with Cardiff, Newport, Chepstow, Bristol, Gloucester and Birmingham.
A taxi/Uber journey from Lydney Station typically takes around 15 minutes, but need pre-booking is essential as these are also fairly infrequent in the Forest of Dean!
If you arrive early
If you’ve arrived with time to spare, there are several lovely places to stretch your
legs nearby. Feel free to leave your car on the drive while you do so.
Angus Buchanan Recreation Grounds
A ten-minute walk from opposite the property (public rights of way are signposted) will bring you to Angus Buchanan Recreation Grounds, a popular local play area for children.
Dingle Wood
For a peaceful stroll, 250m along Scowles Road from the property, turn right onto
Mary’s Lane where you’ll find access to Dingle Wood, a beautiful area of ancient
woodland that forms part of the rich forest landscape surrounding us.
